Your favorite goat enters WoW and Skyrim

Goat Simulator MMO Simulator moves the comically manic Goat Simulator franchise into the world of online RPGs like World of Warcraft. The result is a title that is as unplayable and unpredictable as it is funny. This game will get your goat.

The MMO that's not a MMO

Okay, let’s be clear, Goat Simulator MMO Simulator is not an MMO – although it is a simulation of an MMO. There are no actual online components, but it does offer you other “player” goats, and a chat window that updates with inane but fictional chatter. Yes, this is a parody of online and fantasy RPGs.

Whatever you do with your goat in Goat Simulator MMO Simulator you are met by something crazy and surprising. Almost every button press had you bounce and collide through the world, interacting with objects by smashing them and with people by killing them.

Unlike the original Goat Simulator, where the missions were not very clear, Goat Simulator MMO Simulator lays out your tasks as you would expect in an MMO. Characters give you missions, which you must fulfill to advance your goat and the story. In general, these are simple tasks – like collecting items - but as you play things do get more varied and interesting.

Although you can continue with this story, Goat Simulator MMO Simulator true appeal lies in creating chaos whenever you fancy. Along with the classic goat simulator interactions – jump, lick, and head-butt – you now also gain access to several selectable classes with their own abilities.

The Hunter class – for example – is basically a fisherman with the ability to catch fish and throw objects into the reeds. The Wizard class, on the other hand, can throw fireballs and do card tricks - plus it has a sweet magician’s hat. There is even a Microwave class, which is apparently a being of pure chaotic evil. Best of all, you can switch between classes at any time.

Do not take it seriously

Like previous editions, Goat Simulator MMO Simulator's controls are not good – but they are deliberately bizarre. Your goat will collide with pretty much anything, hurl objects in every direction (though never where you want them), leap through the air in peculiar fashion, and rag-doll at the slightest provocation. Not to mention the game’s totally absurd physics.

This may all sound like an uncontrollable mess - and it is – but you just have to believe me: in Goat Simulator MMO Simulator’s case these flaws work to its advantage. It invites you to not take it seriously and enjoy the absurdity.

Goat Simulator MMO Simulator looks like the previous games, but has been given an odd quasi sword and sorcery aesthetic to mimic the fantasy MMOs it simulates. The MMO trappings don’t stop there, with the interface including a leveling-up goat, and a fake chat window to view messages from other “players”. Also, in an odd twist, the fantasy world has seen the removal of the previous games' awful thumping music, an unexpected bonus.

A farce for lovers of surrealism

Goat Simulator MMO Simulator is a fun parody, providing you are able to put up with the parts of it that are designed to frustrate. If you want an immersive and emotional experience you’re in the wrong place, but if you want crazy action just follow the bleating of the goat.
